CAMILLECLAUDEL - Version restaurée 4K - Bande annonce 2019 Redécouvrez CAMILLE CLAUDEL (1988), le film aux 5 César dont Meilleur film et Meilleure actrice pour Isabelle Synopsis Auguste Rodin 1840-1917, man of the people, autodidact and revolutionary sculptor - the most brilliant of his era. At 42, Rodin meets Camille Claudel, a young woman desperate to become his assistant. He quickly acknowledges her as his most able pupil, and treats her as an equal in matters of creation. Cast Crew Details Genres Cast Director Producer Writer Editor Cinematography Production Design Set Decoration Composer Costumes Studios Countries Language Genres Popular reviews More There was no need to make a movie on Rodin. I'm comforted by the rating on IMDB. I thought it was just me. Vincent Lindon carries the film, but he doesn't compare to Gerard Depardieu's Auguste Rodin as portrayed in the movie, Camille Claudel. Rose, Rodin's wife, was portrayed by the sufficient Séverine Caneele. The character, Camille Claudel, was played by Izïa Higelin. I hate to compare her to Isabelle Adjani who portrayed Camille Claudel in the movie with the same name. Adjani has grace, beauty, charm, emotional breakdowns, charisma, talent...all of these things Higelin does not. It was a complete letdown. I was looking forward to to Jacques Doillon's other films, this was not nearly as good as Ponette, La Drôlesse, and Les Doigts dans la tête. Perhaps it was not as boring as Raja, but it was awfully close. This is the 240th film I’ve seen using Movie Pass. how is this even directed by the same individual who put Ponette into the world In the past couple of weeks, I have watched Bruno Nuytten’s Camille Claudel 1988 with Isabelle Adjani as Camille and Gerard Depardieu as Rodin and Bruno Dumont’s Camille Claudel, 1915 2013 with Juliette Binoche as Camille and have read two biographies of Camille, so I was interested in seeing a film that covered the Camille/Rodin relationship from Rodin’s point of backbone on which writer/director Jacques Doillon constructs his screenplay is a commission from the Société des Gens de Lettres to do a major sculpture of Honoré de Balzac. After widespread criticism when it was exhibited at a Salon in the Champ de Mars, the Société rejected Rodin’s full size plaster model which Rodin said was meant to represent Balzac’s persona rather than… [6]Cannes is such a hothouse of opinion. Some infamous disasters from the Croisette actually deserve their infamy The Last Face, Southland Tales but many others are more often than not just the wrong movie for the wrong crowd at the wrong cultural moment. Time has been pretty kind to The Brown Bunny, Irreversible, and Antichrist, for example.Interestingly, this year's Competition calamity was not some piece of extreme artsploitation, but a stodgy artist's biopic. Jacques Doillon, a French master whose work has gotten increasingly bizarre over the years, threw everyone a curveball by making a film so stiff and fussy and well-appointed that it was lambasted as some sort of rejected piece of public television. The script, in particular,… Never listen to reviews out of Cannes. This is such a lush sensual experience, as any film about artmaking should be—if the sound of Rodin rubbing his hand on a tree doesn’t get you off, I can’t help you. The ending is so great, cried for the first time in a movie in a long while. Nesse meio ganhamos um filme se prestou mais… 45/100The Jefferson in Paris of recent Cannes history he said, never having seen Jefferson in Paris. Not terrible, just biopic bland; Doillon brings almost nothing distinctive to what's clearly a centennial commission. Most effective when it depicts Rodin's process, as when he repeatedly observes Victor Hugo from across the room during a dinner party and then sprints to his bust-in-progress located on the other side of the house before physical details evaporate from memory. Inevitable emphasis on Claudel-Beuret friction never transcends formulaic other-woman melodrama—a glance at The Mature Age yields more emotional power. Cast does solid work when not required to name-drop for the audience or spout exposition. Completists only. A very deep and multi-layer bio pic about one of the most important figures of all time. Interestingly, Rodin's obsession of portraying Balzac - two vision his naked and truthful view/depicting a legend with covering the truth and showing only the power is exactly what Doillon is dealing with when he wants to get into Rodin's vision on body man lost by his perversion or a man who you can call a visionary. Who knew Rodin and ric flair were the same person Loved these type of bio pics. No need to tell a story as much as just glimpse in a person mindset.Achetez CAMILLE CLAUDEL (IMPORT-ALL REGION) A FILM BY BRUNO NUYTTEN by G?rard Depardieu, Laurent Gr?vill, Alain Cuny, Madeleine Robinson Isabelle Adjani à petit prix. IsabelleAdjani won the Silver Berlin Bear at the 39th Berlin Film Festival in 1989 for her role in this film which tells the story about French sculptor Camille Claudel (1864-1943) and her relationship with impressionist sculptor Auguste Rodin (1840-1917) who became her teacher and lover during the early 19th century in Paris, France before the First World War.
This moving quest for identity delicately evokes the relationship between one’s country of origin and one’s host country, as well as the questions of family identity, integration and freedom of artistic expression. For thirty years, French-Algerian sisters Zorah Isabelle Adjani, Camille Claudel, Queen Margot, Nohra Maïwenn, Polisse and Djamila Hafsia Herzi have been living in the hope of finding their brother Rheda, abducted by their father, and hidden in newly decolonized relationship is shaken when Zorah, the eldest sister, decides to write a play based on the traumatizing events of their childhood that has troubled them for their entire lives. But when they learn that their father is very ill, the three sisters decide to go to Algeria to seize their last opportunity to have him reveal to them the location of their brother. When the past catches up, the three sisters have no choice but to put their differences aside, as it is a race against time in an Algeria where the wind of revolution is is a beautifully filmed story with powerful performances, and this moving quest for identity delicately evokes the relationship between one’s country of origin and one’s host country, as well as the questions of family identity, integration and freedom of artistic expression. Asked about the choice of the title, the filmmaker Yamina Benguigui explains“These are three women who have each traced their own path but whom the past summons as sisters to face a tragedy that can only be resolved with the family. This visceral link which tears us away from our individual history, this link which brings us back to our common history.”Screened in French with English Benguigui France/Algeria 2020 90 minutes
